Ever wanted to know about the people who visit the Museum? Here’s a sneak peak at a visitor from June.
Book launched: Volunteer Fire Fighting in SA
Those who knew Rex Hall will know that one of Rex’s events was never just a simple event. There was always something extra. And so, with Rex’s passing, those closest to him rallied around to make his memorial special, with that something extra being the launch of Rex’s final book, Volunteer Fire Fighting in South Australia.
There is a poem that is often recited at the end of a life: the dash between two dates. The first date represents the beginning of life; the second date, the ending. But the dates are not the most important component of the equation.
What matters is how we lived and loved and how we spend our dash.
We can all agree that Rex Hall’s dash was a life well-lived and well loved.
With many thanks for the outpouring of well wishes and kind words, Alan Hall and family respectfully advise that there will be a memorial service and celebration of Rex Hall at the Naracoorte Town Hall at 1.30pm on Saturday 15 July.
All who would like to pay their respects to Rex’s life and legacy are welcome.
