It is with heavy heart that we bid farewell to Rex Hall, who passed away yesterday afternoon Friday 2 June 2023.

For those of you who are unaware, Rex has had an extended stay in hospital with gradual deterioration leading to his peaceful passing.
At Rex’s request, his funeral service will be a small private family affair.
There will be a much larger celebration of life in a few weeks’ time. The details for this event will be shared once arrangements have been made.
Rex and Russell Branson hatched the idea of a museum to preserve, record and display the history of volunteer fire fighters of South Australia. Most of you know the memorial site and partial museum at Naracoorte. Unfortunately, Rex will not see his full dream come to fruition, but has achieved so much to date of which he was very proud. The final stage of the museum is still to come, with the building of an interpretive/training centre.
We all know how much Rex loved to gather people together at any opportunity. Rex has been instigator of the annual Memorial Service in recognition of fallen volunteer fire fighters of the CFS fraternity of SA.
Rex was awarded the first Life Membership of the SAVFFM on Tuesday 16th May 2023, a truly deserving honour.
Rex has touched the hearts of many over his 84 years on this earth. May he rest in peace as he moves on to the next realm and reunites with loved ones passed.
Rex is survived by son Alan Hall, daughter-in-law Christine, 3 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren and their extended families.
RIP Rex Hall
